Polymeca has extensive expertise in the field of CNC grinding. Thanks to many years of experience in the production of high-precision axis systems for geodesy devices such as theodolites and laser scanners, our processes have been optimised so that the tolerance window for match grinding is only 1 µm. For internal and external circular grinding, we generally produce parts with manufacturing tolerances of 0.5 to 3 µm.
Beside the classic circular grinding, we are also ideally equipped for thread grinding or noncircular grinding (e.g. cam discs or eccentrics). In addition to the grinding processes listed, Polymeca also has expertise in shoe grinding and honing of demanding parts.
The materials we process in grinding technology mainly include hardened steel, brass, aluminium (soft) and hard anodised aluminium.
